This series was done from for a private reading course with Don Harvey in Oberlin, Oh in the Spring of 2007. For the series I painted my friends from life on huge reams of paper (about 32" by 46"). It was my last semester at Oberlin, hence all of my friends insisted on reading while posing. The portraits of Joshua were done in the library to allow him to read books on Reserve.
